Here’s a simple way to create your own Kombucha SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast) so you can make your own Kombucha at home. You’ll save lots of money and be certain that the Kombucha you’re drinking is fresh and has the maximum health giving benefits. Not all Kombucha is as good as the one used in this video to make the culture.

In 2010, some companies started pasteurizing Kombucha, which actually kills the beneficial probiotics and yeasts in the fermented drink. This was done because even under refrigeration and without the original SCOBY, Kombucha continues to ferment. If it sits on the shelf too long, it will turn to vinegar.

I highly recommend you make your own. It’s easy. I have 3 gallons brewing constantly so I always have lots of Kombucha to drink. I absolutely love this drink and since I’ve started drinking it, not only do I feel much better, I’m also watching the liver spots on my hands fade away as the Kombucha helps take stress off your liver. But, of course, that’s only one way it helps your body.
